These blends contain no grain whisky, rather, they are the result of the marriage of multiple single malts. Some blended malts have grand age statements and are matured for many years, and some showcase youthful exuberance. Blended malts such as Burnside and Williamson comprise of over 99% single malt, with just a teaspoon of whisky from another distillery added.
