Lindores Abbey
Lindores Abbey Distillery Established 2017 Lowlands Region
Established on the site named in a letter written in 1494 by order of King James IV to the Friar John Cor to make aqua vitae (Whisky)
Does this make it the birthplace of whisky in Scotland ? Or was it an order to make something others had been making anyway and the king wanted his own supply ?
Todays whisky is delicious and that's what is most important.
