Knockdhu 16 Years Old 54.2% 2006-2022 Heavily Peated – sherry cask 

Nose: Fresh linen, orange cream, spiced nuts, some peppers vanilla shortbread, some supremely balanced smoke and peat notes, sweet sponge with a drizzle of orange and tangy spices delivering a great nose packed with aromas that draw you in. 

Palate: Superb creamy tones, spiced nuts, some peppers, sweet chillies add a very interesting depth to the palate, lemon meringue pie and salted caramel, yes smoke and peat are here for sure, a little citrus and dark fruits with smouldering summer BBQ embers. 

This dram can take a dilution of 2 parts whisky to one part water to deliver a nice balanced richness across the whole palate.
