Sold out

The Yellow Spot is a beloved release from the 'Spot' range of Single Pot Still whiskies from Ireland's largest distillery, Midleton. This famous whiskey has its roots in the 1800s, when original owners Mitchell & Son matured their casks under Dublin's cobbled streets. They would mark the cask ends with spots of paint to categorise them - and the 'Spot' concept was born.

This honey-sweet and smooth whiskey was matured in a combination of American oak, Spanish sherry casks and Spanish Malaga casks.

Malaga province has long been famous for its sweet fortified wines, made from the Moscatel and PX grape varieties.

Nose: With a rich and fruity aroma of mango and apricot, which add a tropical dimension to this whiskey, a little hint of sweet spice that just adds to the enjoyment of the nose.

Palate: Almond sponge cake, marzipan, some damson jam and hints of ripe apple with a  fruity mid palate, some plumbs and dates add a rich layer heading into a smooth rich and very enjoyable finish.
