Lot 40 Rye 43% ABV
One of our favourite rye whiskies is back. Made in Canada in a single copper pot still, this 100% rye expression has got a cult following. So much so that after many complaints, it’s been brought back after briefly being discontinued. Simply it’s big, bold, delicious rye.
Tasting note:
Nose: Bold, earthy rye notes immediately come to the fore, along with a subtle herbal note, dried fruits and chocolatey caramel.
Palate: Rich and round with bright pepper, coriander and warm spice notes. More rye bread develops, along with surprising florals.
Finish: Long and gently warming.
