From the demolished distillery of Banff, Matured in a refill butt for 20 years, limited to 702 bottles when first released.
Bottled by Signatory in 2000.
The Banff distillery was closed in 1983
Nose: Sweet shortcrust pastry, some soft toffee, hints of oak and spice, some damson's and soft pears notes.
Palate: With a mellow opening this dram soon develops some tangy fruit notes, a little waxiness and candied lemon peel, white chocolate truffles and a hint of spices with a little pepper.
