Nose: Sweet and dry spices with a hint of salted caramel, pink pepper with strawberries, treacle toffee, some soft oak and hints of drift wood, some smoke, spent matches, running through the aromas perfectly.
Palate: Some rich fruits and classic Islay notes on the front of the palate, sweet smoke, toasted chestnuts and walnuts, salted caramel and dark honey, some milk chocolate and sultana.
With a little water more of the dry Islay style comes through, let it open without water a softer tone develops, this is a nice Islay to relax with.
