Dailuaine 2009 Berry Bros & Rudd #315727 53.2%

A delicious independent bottling from Speyside Scotch distillery Dailuaine, unveiled as part of Berry Bros & Rudd’s 2022 Winter Release series! It’s unusual to see expressions from this distillery – they’re often reserved for blends – so this hogshead-matured release is a brilliant way to discover its trademark robustness.

Tasting note:

Nose: Waxy and floral, there’s honeycomb, Fruit Salad chew sweets, and a magnolia floral element, with a subtle meaty hint.

Palate: Loads of green fruits come through, with pear drops, dried barley and even unlit cigars, all with a waxy texture.

Finish: Long and lingering, with a touch of sweet spice coming through.
