Girvan 11 Year Old Murray McDavid Ximenez-Spinola Finish

Girvan Distillery is one of Scotland’s most celebrated grain whisky producers. This unusual bottling from Murray McDavid gives it a fresh perspective indeed. The 11-year-old, characteristically light grain has been finished for three long years in a PX sherry cask from the Ximénez-Spínola bodega in Spain. This process imparts a vibrant, fruit-forward zip to the mellow spirit. 

Tasting notes from Murray McDavid:

Nose: demerara, sweet spice, fresh apple

Palate: rich cereal, caramel nuts, mellow oak

Finish: oily, cooked fruits, creamy vanilla
