Haddock 2007-20 Wilson & Morgan  Sherry Finish Light Peat 46% - 70cl

This whisky is a Marriage of malt whiskies from across Scotland, matured in Sherry Butts ahead of a further addition of rich Islay peated single malts then moved into an Oloroso Hogshead to give this Vatting a nice rich structure.

Nose: Honeyed, slightly winey and with a touch of ripe fruitiness, but also with farmy notes, camphor and of course a noticeable but delicate smoky presence.

Palate: Peat smoke and its tarry, phenolic and medicinal character are much more intense at the where they take their rightful place alongside the winey nuttiness, the earthy and leathery notes, the bitter oranges, and the hints of liquorice.
