Octomore 13.3 61.1% 70cl

This release is matured in a foundational parcel of first fill ex-American whiskey barrels and a supplementary selection of second fill European oak casks, hailing from the Rivesaltes region of France and the Ribera del Duero region of Spain.

Nose: Some gentle peat, malted barley, and orchard fruits, rose water and soft honey, a fresh and almost minty note, light fresh summer fruits, hints of saltwater taffy and golden honeycomb.

Palate: Sweet honey and toasted caramel wafer, golden honeycomb and hints of marzipan, shortbread, and coconut flakes, waxy with hints of cherry blossom polish and soft oak smoke and peat adding a rich mid note, crushed wheat flakes and lemon and peach, some charred notes adding that classic Islay note to the finish of this unique single malt.
